Bullets Hot And Cold, But Nip Clippers In The End

19 December 1996. Washington Bullets 102, Los Angeles Clippers 93 (record: 12-12)
Game leaders: Howard, Webber (25 points), Webber (9 rebounds), Strickland (7 assists)

Odds and Ends
Well, we've got Williams about to come off IR, Murray aching again, and the Bullets Christmas shopping together.
The LA Clippers are always good for a win or two a season. And last night proved to be no exception, although how the Bullets got the win is another story entirely. The Bullets led by 15 after one quarter, and led by as much as 17 points in the 2nd half when the Clippers came back and took a 1-point lead with 5 minutes left in the game.

The Bullets then kicked it back in gear, unlike against the Suns. They weren't in foul trouble and made the plays down the stretch to win the game. Harvey Grant started in place of Cheaney, who is still out with the injured hip flexor muscle. (I didn't watch this game on TV, so all I have are the newstories. Sorry.)
