Tim Legler and Chris Webber Represent The Bullets At All Star Weekend

Sorry about the delay in getting this news up. Hopefully, it was worth the wait.On Saturday night, Tim Legler got his first taste of NBA "action" as he defended his 3-point shooting title admirably. For a man who hadn't even developed full NBA conditioning (through playing a bunch of games), he hung tough in finishing second to Chicago's Steve Kerr.
Tim did well. He scored 17 in the first round (second to Walt Williams' 18), 19 in the second round (second to Steve Kerr's 21), then lost the final round 22-18 to Kerr.
Tim was very gracious in his return to defend his title. In fact, it's a relatively minor miracle (i.e., not wholely unexpected) that he was able to return to defend his title. And while it may have been disappointing to leave Cleveland without the honor of repeating as best shooter, he still should be proud of what he has accomplished to date.

The next night was CWebb's night. And he played like a nervous virgin in the All Star game. He was 1 for 4 from the field (here's a picture of his only made basket). His final statline wasn't stellar, but he provided some flash: 14 minutes, 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 3 fouls, 3 turnovers.
CWebb did provide some time during the weekend to answer a few questions about his All-Star experience. He also answered some e-mailed questions from some fans prior to the game.
It was disappointing that there wasn't a greater Bullets presence at the game. But, to be honest, no one else really deserved to be here. In the end, Tim and CWebb made a good showing of themselves, but a greater goal exists in front of them - the playoffs.
