Fans React To The Ticket Price Increases

According to Washington Sports, which runs the Washington Bullets (NBA) and Capitals (NHL) for owner Abe Pollin, the reaction is what they expected. That's not surprising. Though it's still hard to swallow a ticket price increase like this.

I've already given my initial venting. But Thomas Heath and George Solomon of the Washington Post provide some of the local feedback to the ticket increases. (Unfortunately, the online article doesn't provide some of the ancilliary info that comes with the article, including a diagram of the MCI Center's floor plan, and fan reactions on the price increases. Only one letter out of the nine highlighted was remotely positive.)

Most telling (and missing from the online version) was a table comparing the Bullets and Caps average prices from this season (96-97) to their sporting brethren.

Take the article in. It's got some interesting quotes from various sources. If you want to vent, let me know and I'll post your reaction online.
