If you're outside of DC or Tampa Bay, you may have missed this small bit of news. The Bullets' radio voice of the past 11 years, Charlie Slowes, has taken a job as baseball play-by-play announcer for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays next year.
This follows on the heals of last year's announcement that television play-by-play announcer Mel Proctor was leaving last March. He will be replaced by Steve Buckhantz this upcoming season.
A replacement for Slowes has not been announced; the Wizards are still considering their alternatives.
