Chris Whitney's Feet Are Ailing

We get to hear those words again, that Bullets fans learned to hate 2 years ago - plantar fascitis. Do you remember Mark Price, that bust of a trade? Well, it's the same type of injury.

That's not to say that Whitney will need surgery. But at some point, he's going to have to rest both feet and hope that the condition gets better. But with God Shammgod currently on IR (and he must stay on IR for 3 more games, including tonight, at a minimum) and recovering from tendonitis in one knee, the Wizards are looking very thin at point guard. In the meantime, Whitney is going to try and continue to play some relief minutes for Strickland (who has been playing 40-plus minutes in most recent games anyway).

Maybe, in a week, we'll see what Shammgod can do as a backup. What choice does the team have?
