With Whitney Signed, Legler And Wallace Are Close To Returning Too

What's holding up Legler re-signing with the Wizards? Basically, scheduling a physical, according to J.A. Adande of the Washington Post. He's currently out of the area, even though he's agreed to a 3-year, $4M package. He expects to return to the area this weekend, then get the physical and sign next Monday. He doesn't expect any problems.

And contrary to what I had guessed earlier, it looks like Ben Wallace is also going to re-sign with the Wizards for a one-year deal worth about $326,700. He probably won't get much playing time, but he will have the opportunity to practice with the team and hopefully improve on his obvious athletic talents. In particular, I'd have him work on defensive positioning in the post; he's far from an NBA-caliber post defender. Though he's sure got hops!

Lastly, the article noted that the Wizards and Shammgod have not talked about a contract yet. FYI.
